We generally hang on to what we have and what we like and find it hard to let go when needed. But this is not a healthy approach. It is difficult to make decisions about this as things may not be as straightforward. Sometimes it is important to fight for what is ours and what belongs to us. However sometimes we should let go as it is time for a new chapter. Generally we will know what the right action is when it is the right time. As a rule we need to look after ourselves, our health and try to do the right thing for ourselves and others. It is important to make decisions by thinking things through and let go of them when it is required.
Letting go sometimes is not straight forwards, sometimes there are many variables. When this happens we need to remind ourselves that letting go means to free something from us. It doesn’t mean not caring or being indifference towards ourselves or others. We usually invest in our endeavours and therefore letting go of them can be difficult as we become attached. We need to know that whether our family, our friends, our thoughts, our ideas, our emotions and the list goes on, we need to let go, we need to free ourselves and others from unhealthy patterns. We need to replace these patterns with something mutual, something with boundary, something realistic and something beneficial to everyone.
