Rain, rain, with its freshness
Fell, fell, brought change
I, you, we, and others
Sat down, praised its presence
I said, there is god
You said, there is life
We said, this is joy
They said, things change
One day passed with rain
All happy and with joy
Overcome with transcendence
Proclaiming this is perfect
Second day passed the same
Things started to change
Not knowing how rain fell
To handle an unfortunate end
They said, all is not good
We said, change is good
You said, plan ahead
I said, too much to bare
One week passed with rain
It ended its course,
All lands destroyed
Teaching us a lesson
Too much, is unpredictable
Losing our home along the way
Migration of thoughts is our way!
This poem is about essence. Even water with its purification, cannot make everything pure, when too much water is poured, it can have a destructive impact. Therefore even though essence is in itself with the same connotation as itself, this doesn’t need that it does not include the elements of contradiction, just like water and its symbolism of life, but yet also representing floods or on the other end of the spectrum droughts. The take away from this poem is preparation, as long as we know what we have is either end of the spectrums and therefore need to prepare ourselves for any outcome, then we can avoid getting stock in the middle of either end of these extremes. Therefore by preparing our thoughts, our forces and our resources, we can take action and overcome these difficulties, and pre-empt future problems.
